E. T. Armies is an action-packed, fast-paced, science-fiction first person shooter.
The game takes place in a dystopian future in which Earth’s resources have been depleted. Abandoning the planet seemed to be the only avenue for survival but not all could leave. Those left behind have become united in their struggle.
It’s just the beginning for the Forsaken and the start of their devastating plan for vengeance. The Forsaken hungers for supremacy and power in equal measures and war is its lifeblood. As a Parsis soldier you are charged to resist this new power and defend the fragile landscape against the Forsaken’s ruthless onslaught.
Along the way you’ll face more strife than you could have possibly expected, together with your allies you must fight to cleanse the land from the Forsaken’s brutality.
E.T. Armies on the one hand should be applauded, not just for being one of the first games to be exported from Iran but for also for presenting us with a perfectly playable first-person shooter. The hammy dialogue, cliched character tropes and general familiar feel of the gameplay is easy to overlook thanks to some impressive run-and-gun action. However for anyone who is a veteran of the genre, some control issues, repetitive game design and a barren wasteland of a multiplayer mode will have you running back to Call of Duty before you’ve even come close to finishing the campaign.
E.T. Armies is a well-made indie FPS with a few caveats that occasionally detract from a mostly enjoyable experience.
This sure ain't no Max Payne or Doom. The first Iranian commercial game is a noble effort in the field of FPS games, but it unfortunately falls short in almost every aspect. The best way to describe the game is mediocre. [June/July 2016]
An old school FPS with some solid game mechanics, but too short to be suggested to every shooter lovers.
Sometimes it manages to tickle the pleasure center of the brain, but these moments are like grains of sand in the desert of low budget mediocrity. [05/2016, p.63]
E.T Armies is a FPS with classic vibes and very solid mechanics that, along with its difficulty, will be a challenge for every player. However, its limited weapon variety, its ridiculous AI and its short duration may ruin your experience.
I don’t particularly like this game. It’s very competent for what seems to be the developer's first game, but the FOV issues mixed with the poor gameplay mean I didn’t enjoy my time with it.
