Warparty is a real-time strategy game set in the stone-age era. You will build your base, recruit and control a group of soldiers, fight and tame fierce dinosaurs and direct the flow of combat. Proper management of resources, skills and map awareness will lead you to victory.
Warparty is also available on Nintendo Switch.
Warparty offers the right compromise between the immediacy of the first RTS games and the depth of the last representatives of the genre, putting every element in the right place and carrying out its task in an excellent way.
War Party might be the best designed and most polished indie RTS to come out in a long time.
Overall, this is a pretty good step into the RTS realm. The game itself runs very smoothly and I didn’t find myself fighting with any major bugs or glaring offenses in the design of the game. I feel the game may be too rudimentary for veterans of the RTS genre, but as a less experienced player, I found myself immersed in the gameplay and pretty entertained.
It's a fairly formulaic RTS with a repetitive campaign and frustrating AI mechanics, though when large armies clash it does offer a cacophony of enjoyable chaos as dinosaurs and zombies meet in combat.
A fun, functional but ultimately forgettable RTS in the style of Warcraft or Age of Empires.
An uninspired take on stone-age strategy suffering from typical problems like pathfinding, AI or collision detection.
Warparty may be a decent game for simple multiplayer matches, but its lack of creativity and rough mechanics keep it feeling older than the timeframe it’s based upon.
