Slipstream is a racing game inspired by the arcade games of the 1990s. The graphics, the cars, the music, everything reminds us of that wonderful time when arcade games came out from under the stones. With a unique retro look, Slipstream PC is built on a custom game engine, with unique graphics.
We will compete through exotic places to the rhythm of the music of the 90s, with very representative mechanics of that time such as skidding and sliding, which introduces a certain depth to the title and helps the races not to become monotonous. In addition, the game features 3 game modes: Arcade Mode, a road trip through exotic landscapes, with trails that branch out and rivals to compete against. Quick Race, a single race on any of the tracks in the game.
And finally, Grand Prix, a championship mode with five consecutive races. a unique game that arcade lovers and the most nostalgic should not miss under any circumstances.
Its gameplay might seem simple at first, but it provides a challenge that harkens back to the days of the quarter-munching greats.
While frustrating due to it abiding by the limits set by retro racers, Slipstream is still a cool treat for any fan of the classics. It looks, sounds and feels like it came from that era. I’m sure if you were to slap a cover sticker on a Genesis cartridge and ask someone that’s never heard of the game if they’ve ever played this back in the day, they’d probably say yes. That’s how convincing it is.
