If you’re looking for a new TCG to scratch that itch, but burnt out over the constant round and repetition of player versus player or player versus AI battles, it’s most definitely worth the purchase price.
Faeria is the perfect combination of Catan and Heartstone. There is enough content to keep you entertained for hours, although the sheer amount of cards can be a bit overwhelming in the beginning.
Quotation forthcoming.
Faeria is an interesting fusion between a board game and a trade card game.
Faeria falls somewhere between Hearthstone and some more tactical card games like Scrolls or Duelest. I wish its artistic direction was farther from Blizzard’s hit, but at least Belgians managed to evolve gameplay to some degree. A nice touch is that Faeria can be enjoyed without resorting to microtransactions. [06/2017, p.75]
Faeria is a delightful card game, with a board management mechanic that reminds of Settlers of Catan. The work of Abrakam represents the real alternative to the already full selection of card videogames on the market. Highly recommended.
Faeria's gameplay shines, and what it lacks in narrative it more than makes up for in strategy. While Faeria won’t appeal to some casual players and viewers, players who enjoy delving into sophisticated and nuanced gameplay will be amply rewarded.
