Play as your favorite characters from The Hobbit films, including Bilbo, Gandalf, and the Dwarves: Thorin, Fili, Kili, Oin, Gloin, Dwalin, Balin Bifur, Bofur, Bombur, Dori, Nori and Ori. Each has his own special – and quite hilarious – ability.
For example, Bombur can be used as a trampoline that enables his companions “belly-bounce” out of danger!Collect, combine and forge new items in the Blacksmith Shop using Mithril, the most precious metal in Middle-earth. In the end, LEGO The Hobbit is most aptly described as Skyrim-lite.
LEGO The Hobbit is what everyone expected, which can be good or bad depending on your exposure to the series.
Despite not including anything from the third Hobbit movie that could provide a satisfactory ending, Lego The Hobbit has enough content and charm to keep you entertained until the inevitable next Lego game. [July 2014, p.76]
TT Games has maintained a high level of quality on all their Lego titles and Lego The Hobbit is no exception. If you liked the other games - you will like this one.
After the failure of the last LEGO installment, what a thrill to play this one. LEGO : The Hobbit smells like déjà -vu but the receipt is kind of efficient. It's a great entertainment and it will give some good stuff to Tolkien and LEGO fans, despite of the recurring technical problems and repetitive gameplay.
Same old story. Same gameplay, (pretty much the) same look, same irony. But after so many games, Traveller's Tale can't expect the same score.
There are a few memorable moments sprinkled throughout this adventure, but this newest LEGO game covers too much familiar ground.
