Over fifty single player levels including Adventure and Classic Arcade modes. 3D grids and over ten battle modes including Pacifism, King and Claustrophobia. Four distinct companion drones such as Attack, Collector, Ram and Snipe.
Co-op and Online Competitive Multiplayer modes.
There are about 300 other games that have come out in November that I need to play, but I haven’t loaded up a single one of them since I first launched Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions.
Geometry Wars 3 Dimensions is an adrenaline rush that will delight fans of the previous games.
Difficulty spikes aside, this is a great PC edition of a fantastic arcade shooter.
Despite a few issues with the camera and the absence of a customizable mode, Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions proves that the multidirectional twitch-based shooter is still a blast.
The core, which made the Geometry Wars brilliant arcade, is still there; they only add the third dimension. So the third part is enjoyable, addictive and very challenging as were its predecessors. In addition, arenas will test your skills and won’t give you a break. There are problems with the third dimension sometimes, but they won‘t bother you much, so you can enjoy the never-ending challenge.
Quotation forthcoming.
The problem, ultimately, is a philosophical one. I'm not sure if Lucid really gets the mentality behind this series, and that makes for a perfectly serviceable shooter when the lineage requires something more.
