Fallen Legion+ is a great value for an indie game, and it also happens to be a pretty good title to boot. If you're over turn based battles and want something a little more fluid that also looks great, then this is a great investment of your time and money.
I was still engaged and satisfied throughout the Fallen Legion+ experience. It has a well-established world and remarkably crafted gameplay, both indicative of talent. At times, a lot of information just seemed as if it were just crammed into places. Fortunately, the story is memorable. And despite the obvious amount of thought present in the experience, the sheer potential is more staggering.
Fallen Legion+ is a great game for those who are looking for an ARPG with a very agile and unique combat system, all wrapped up in an interesting story.
There’s Nintendo Switch version of Fallen Legion+ in the works (with a really cool physical edition too, complete with an art book and other goodies). I think the game will be the most comfortable in Nintendo library, as it has this pick up and play mentality to it, perfectly suited to Switch. The PC version is decent though, and it’s a quite hardware friendly too. Fallen Legion+ is definitely worth checking out for anyone after fast-paced action-RPG with a bit different looks. The thing is, Steam is full of bigger games in the genre, each fighting for your attention. Considering the fierce competition, I fear 29,99 might be a bit too hefty price tag for Fallen Legion+, even if it includes practically two games. I suggest to keep an eye out for the game as soon as it gets a price reduction in some seasonal sale event.
Challenging, quick on the draw and leaning heavy on the action component, Fallen Legion+ may be unnecessarily frantic at times but it still packs in two interesting stories to great effect. A complete edition that falls just a little bit flat of truly realising its potential, Fallen Legion+ is still an ambitious title with plenty of charm.
Fallen Legion+ is a game that has some nice ideas that could have been developed in a better way. Nonetheless, we think they still have a good potential for future chapters in the series.
The strong points of this package (artwork and OST) are not enough to balance the overall poor result. Fallen Legion + is accompanied by a number of serious design flaws and problems in key areas, that keep it from even being a decent action-RPG.
