The game is simply great, with amazing set pieces and a crazy story, but the real highlight of the game is the combat that simply thrives on letting the player figure out the best ways to tackle a fight without holding your hand. With the extra modes and the added bonus of the first game, there is no getting around it – this game is a masterpiece and a must have on the Switch.

After four years Bayonetta 2 remains the best action game ever made, maybe less refined in its combat if compared directly to its amazing predecessor, but still brilliant and spectacular like no other in its genre. A pity there's pretty much nothing new in this port.
