Starpoint Gemini 2 is a beast of a game. It gracefully balances exploration, action, narrative, and RPG elements to create a complete package that thrills and excites… most of the time. Be aware that the nature of the missions are repetititive and ultimately a means to an end: to become the most powerful captain in the galaxy.

Starpoint Gemini 2 is a good wine which gives the most after decanting.

It's big and often beautiful, and addictive as well. But it does lack the little extra that would keep me playing for weeks.

Better than the predecessor, a solid game, but still a bit of a disappointment. Mods could change that, though.

Some aesthetic issues keep it from being perfect and it lacks the consistent adrenaline-pumping action that thrill-seekers crave, but overall it is an immersive and engaging experience for space captains everywhere.

It is a vast universe with endless possibilities - nothing more, nothing less. If you prefer solo play and you have a vivid imagination give the game a chance. Otherwise leave it be. [Issue#247]
