Act fast! – Rescue! Protect! Salvage! Extinguish! There's no shortage of action in Emergency 5. Finally, after 8 years, the true sequel to Emergency 4 has been released. In Emergency 5 PC for PC, you will direct tense rescue missions on three massive and detailed maps.
To succeed, you gradually upgrade your fleet of vehicles and your relief units, and make sure that each unit is in the right place at the right time – if you've always wanted to be an officer in charge of directing fire brigades, the police, technical relief units and paramedics, you've come to the right place. Having the right strategy is essential in order to put a halt to the chaos. Over the course of the extensive campaign, minor accidents alternate with complex major events, ensuring hours of gameplay.
A co-op mode also lets up to four players solve special multiplayer events. A highlight of EMERGENCY 5 is the new editor in which you can edit and create new game content yourself. The editor makes it even easier for you to design new content (mods) to implement in the game.
Emergency 5 is troubled by the technical problems, but if you pass through them, the game will reward you with an innovative and addictive gameplay.
At the core it's a game full of potential but it will need lots of patches for lots of technical problems.
Being an emergency itself, the game suffers from a vast number of bugs, complicated controls and pesky music. Operation sites are often hard to locate and navigation is dreading. The big redeeming quality is a huge variety of mechanics and places of action.
It’s a nice change to save people instead of killing them but Emergency 5’s repetitive, buggy gameplay just doesn’t cut it. [02/2015, p.57]
The only thing that can’t be rescued in Emergency 5 is the game itself.
It can be very entertaining like its predecessors. But while there you could focus on rescuing civilians here the game needs to be rescued and revitalized. Too many bugs and crashes keep the motivation down.
