NieR: Automata tells the story of androids 2B, 9S and A2 and their battle to reclaim the machine-driven dystopia overrun by powerful machines. Humanity has been driven from the Earth by mechanical beings from another world. In a final effort to take back the planet, the human resistance sends a force of android soldiers to destroy the invaders.
Now, a war between machines and androids rages on… A war that could soon unveil a long-forgotten truth of the world.
This unusual action game set in an offbeat world created by Taro Yoko is a treasure trove of pleasant surprises. It's not often that we meet such a stylish, offbeat, memorable game.
Simply put: Masterpiece. From gameplay to story an awesome work of art and don't even get me started on the soundtrack! The only problem is with the port, but having played the game from start to finish with all main endings it did not subtracted from my experience at all and they will probably fix it eventually.
This is one of the best games that I have played in the last couple of years. The story is compelling, the soundtrack is awesome and the game-play is fast & fun. Its true true that your PC needs muscle power to run this optimally, but if it is, you will not want to miss the experience.
Overall, Nier: Automata is a phenomenal game filled with great gameplay, world building, amazing storytelling, and it even poses some interesting questions. There’s so much to love about this game and it has spawned dozens of think pieces from various websites on the topics posed in the game. I truly believe Nier: Automata is easily an early Game of the Year contender for 2017. If you own a PlayStation 4 or have a Windows machine capable of running it, you have to give this game a try.
well i can tell you al kinds of stuff why you should buy this game, but the most important thing of all is simply kickass music and a Dynamic Skirt 10/10
A beautiful, melancholy action RPG that’s effortlessly stylish and utterly unpredictable.
NieR: Automata contains twenty-six different endings, which inevitably incentivizes those who want to see all possible conclusions. But, the apparent lack of story, which drops off for a good while after the introductory level, is stinging, and you must have enough commitment to see past this. The combat is unique and, at times, refreshingly variegated gaming styles emerge from NeiR — from hack-and-slash to arcade-esque air fights — but enemies themselves show little variation and predictable movement. If you are looking for a hack-and-slash with extraordinary graphics and a fair amount of character customization, then it is likely you’ll enjoy playing this release.
7 hours in and I'm confident to say that I love it.
Would probably be a 10/10 without all the problems and framerate capping.
-Maybe a bit too much empty space
In the end, NieR: Automata reflects what’s in your heart, and it’s possibly the most playable introduction to the glorious madness of Yoko Taro there is. Whether that’s worth something to you I couldn’t possibly say, but it’s left quite a mark on me.
Great game. Not as well optimized for PC as I'd like. Would be 10 if not for that. Gameplay is sweet and fun. Graphics are beautiful, Music is awesome.
A profound jewel of an action game that deserved a better PC port.
This is one of the best single-player RPGs to ever embrace PC, delivering a long-lasting adventure that entertains with its exciting gameplay while piercing the senses with the story it has to tell. Arriving just days after its console version, it serves as an example that the PC platform hasn't been forgotten.
This is one of the games that I would love to play again and again and again for months and uncover all mysteries in it's story and world, This game gives you all you want from a game (almost), From the story to the combat to the amazing soundtracks,It is a masterpiece in it's way and one of the best games in this generation,It is a must-buy in my opinion
